*** HOW TO CALCULATE SALARIES FOR CLASSROOM AND ADMIN SUPPORT ROLES
The pay scales for NJC employees are here:
Most of the roles advertised are for term time only.
Full time employment is counted as 37 hours per week.
As a rather crude calculation (each calculation is done on individuial staff employment history and context) please use the following explanation:
Take the full time salary and divide by 37 hours per week. This gives hourly salary rate.
Multiply this by number of hours attributed to the post (e.g. 15 hours per week or 35 hours per week).
Take this figure and divide it by 365 (days per year).
Now multiply by either:
a: 311.29 (if worked less than 5 years with WBC or local government service), or
b: 318.29 (if more than 5 years service with WBC or local government service).
We hope this helps. If in doubyt please contact the school office.
